The Freedom Writers Diary is a great story and it shows how one teacher turn around an entire class room of gang related kids and she shows the strength, and courage to stand up in front of a gang affiliated students she was a new teacher it was her first year ever teaching and she came in expecting a whole other environment but she walked in there in a life changing experience.
Mrs.Erin Gruwell came in teaching freshman English Class and she didn't know what to expect teaching at Woodrow Wilson high school. So its its the day of class and Mrs.Gruwell is wearing her pearls and she is nerves as ever and the bell rings she waits out side of her class room waiting for students to come in and no one comes in so she go back into the class starts writing something on the board and she sees a security guard escorting the students into the class so she tries to get the class attention and they just kept on talking and so there was a paper getting passed around about this kid and he sees it and he started to cry and she compared the picture to the holocaust and people on getting interested in that so they keep on paying attention and she got there attention so she kept using examples of the holocaust and people joined her and they passed there freshman year.
